Men Who Shot Cop, Left Him Paralyzed And On Ventilator Get A Dose Of Karma In Court

Two Atlantic City criminals got a dose of karma when they walked into court and saw it packed with police officers—there to support one of their own.

Demitrius Cross and Martel Chisolm had attempted to rob three people outside Caesars casino when officers arrived, sparking a shootout. One suspect, 25-year-old Jerome Damon, was killed. Officer Josh Vadell, 29, was critically wounded but survived.

“Our hearts are heavy, but our resolve remains undeterred,” said New Jersey PBA President Patrick Colligan. “We ask for prayers for Officer Vadell and his family.”

In court, the suspects were met with silent stares from a room full of police officers—a powerful show of unity and justice. Sources later revealed that both men were not treated kindly behind bars, with other inmates reportedly making it clear what happens to those who harm law enforcement.

Meanwhile, Vadell’s wife shared a hopeful update on Facebook:

“Josh is doing amazing! Off the ventilator, sitting up, speaking small words, and showing movement on his left side… He’s improving every day because of all your love and support.”

The story went viral. One commenter wrote:

“These two are a menace to society. They got what they deserved.”
Another added:
“Great to see the men and women in blue standing strong together.”
