Missing Girl Found in the Woods — Her Grandfather Was the One Who Made the Heartbreaking Discovery

Perla Alison, a young girl who had gone missing after leaving her home in the Santa Martha Acatitla neighborhood to buy candy, became the focus of a nationwide Amber Alert. For days, authorities and citizen groups searched tirelessly, with her case being shared widely across social media.

The desperate search ended in tragedy. Perla’s body was discovered in a vacant lot near the Constitución de 1917 metro station. It was her grandfather, who had refused to stop looking, that first stumbled upon the area after noticing a strong odor and alerted neighbors and authorities.

Officers quickly arrived and secured the scene, while experts from the Mexico City Attorney General’s Office recovered the body. Officials confirmed that the child showed signs of violence. An investigation for femicide has been opened, and authorities are awaiting the results of the autopsy to confirm the exact cause of death.

The heartbreaking news has shaken the community. Feminist groups, activists, and thousands online are now demanding justice and calling for exemplary punishment for those responsible.

What was once a family’s desperate hope has now turned into unimaginable grief — and the memory of Perla Alison will not be forgotten.
